Atlas PAB: Integration with Masumi AI Agent Protocol
geniusyield
Description
This proposal introduces a modular integration between Masumi Network and Atlas PAB, enabling smart contracts to interface with decentralized AI agents via Masumi’s identity, decision log, and payment infrastructure.
Scope of Work: Masumi Agent Identity Integration
Atlas will include an interface to resolve and verify Masumi-registered agent DIDs.
Developers can fetch agent profiles and credential proofs from Masumi registries inside Atlas apps.
On-chain Decision Logging from Atlas
Build a logging utility in Atlas that sends AI agent outputs to the Masumi decision ledger.
Transactions will include references to source dApp, agent ID, and timestamped results.
Agent-to-Agent Payment Flows
Extend Atlas transaction builder to enable agent-controlled smart wallets.
Support agent-triggered payments via Masumi's payment endpoints, secured through script-based approvals or delegated signatures.
Masumi Atlas Plugin (Atlas.AI.Masumi)
Wrap Masumi APIs (e.g. REST, GraphQL) into a reusable Atlas module.
Include utilities to register agents, log decisions, and send/receive payments.
Documentation & Example DApp
Deliver a working demo dApp where multiple AI agents interact via Atlas (e.g. AI marketplace, delegation tool, autonomous DAO vote cast).
Include full integration guide in the Atlas documentation portal.
Problem Statement
The rise of autonomous AI agents is shaping the future of decentralized applications, with frameworks like CrewAI, LangGraph, and AutoGen enabling intelligent coordination between services. Masumi Network offers a protocol for decentralized AI agent identities, on-chain logging, and agent-to-agent payments — built on Cardano.
However, no native integration exists between Atlas PAB and Masumi, leaving developers to manually connect AI agents with Plutus contracts and chain interactions. Without this integration, dApp builders cannot easily utilize AI agent-based workflows within Cardano smart contracts, limiting innovation in sectors like AI marketplaces, agent swarms, and decentralized intelligence.
Proposal Benefit
This proposal delivers a first-of-its-kind integration between Masumi and Atlas, allowing developers to:
Authenticate and verify decentralized AI agents using Masumi’s identity registry from Atlas PAB.
Log agent actions and outputs on-chain via Masumi directly from Plutus dApps.
Facilitate agent-to-agent payments using Atlas-managed transactions that plug into Masumi’s settlement layer.
Query Masumi’s decision logs and agent metadata from within Atlas backends.
This bridges decentralized AI protocols with Cardano’s smart contract stack — enabling next-gen autonomous dApps with native identity, auditability, and economic interaction for AI agents.

1 developer advocate/technical writer dedicated to demo implementation, documentation, and community engagement
Additional time allocated for testing, feedback rounds, and collaboration with the Masumi Network team
Experience
The Genius Yield team are the original creators and maintainers of Atlas PAB, and are recognized contributors to open-source infrastructure in the Cardano ecosystem. Our work has helped shape core backend tooling used by developers across DeFi, identity, and emerging governance applications. We established a strong working relationships with NMKR engineering team ( Matsumi Network).
Maintenance & Support
The Genius Yield team will maintain the integration under the open-source Atlas repository https://github.com/geniusyield/atlas. This includes versioning, bug fixes, and compatibility updates as Masumi evolves. As Masumi's smart contract layer matures, deeper integration will be pursued, including validator templates and governance sync.
Supplementary Endorsement
Masumi Network is gaining traction in AI and agent-focused Web3 circles, with integrations targeting agent coordination, decentralized cognition, and trust infrastructure.
The rise of CrewAI, LangChain, and AutoGen has shown a growing demand for agent-to-agent execution environments.
The Cardano community actively supports AI integration on-chain, as seen in Catalyst-funded DePIN and AI identity projects.
Atlas PAB is widely used by dApp developers on Cardano. This proposal bridges two growing ecosystems — Cardano smart contracts and agent-based intelligence.

While this project might be important, Catalyst might be a better fit because of the size of the budget.
The North American Community Hub’s workshop feedback, summarized here, questions Atlas PAB’s 2025 Core budget priority. AI integration isn’t critical to Cardano’s immediate Core needs. Though innovative, its future focus suits Project Catalyst for refinement and ecosystem alignment. Signed: North American Community Hub
